Matterport's measurements feature is designed with precision in mind, allowing users to measure rooms, windows, doors, and furniture with just a simple click or tap on any device. As the industry leader in spatial data capture, Matterport delivers an impressive 99% accuracy rate, making it a trusted tool for detailed space exploration and planning.

How can a Matterport tour be viewed?

With a Matterport tour link, your clients, potential buyers, and anyone else can explore your property as if they were walking through an open house. They can freely navigate through each room, zoom in to inspect details, or zoom out to view a floor plan or dollhouse layout. The measurement tool lets them check if their furniture will fit, adding a practical touch to the immersive experience.

The tour is accessible on any desktop or mobile device, anytime, anywhere. For an even more immersive experience, viewers can use a compatible VR headset to step into the tour in 3D.

How long will my Matterport 3D virtual tour be available?

It’s completely up to you, but once you experience the value of our services, we’re sure you’ll want to keep your virtual tour long-term!

After your tour is completed, you’ll be enrolled in our cloud hosting subscription, ensuring it stays live for as long as your subscription remains active.

And if you opt for our annual plan, we’ll throw in an extra month for free!

At this time, floor plans cannot be purchased on their own. We use the detailed spatial data from our Matterport scans to generate floor plans, delivering precise dimensions with an impressive 99% accuracy.

What is a GLA report?

GLA, or Gross Living Area, refers to the total amount of finished, above-ground living space in a home.

In your floor plan, liveable spaces such as bedrooms, living rooms, and kitchens will be highlighted in green, while non-liveable areas like balconies and garages will be marked in red. This clear visual distinction helps potential buyers understand the layout and functionality of the property.

Keep in mind that GLA differs from Total Living Area (TLA), which also includes finished basements or additional living areas like accessory dwelling units.

What are Home reports and Stills?

A home report is a detailed document that offers a comprehensive overview of a property, including measurements and essential information presented in a visually engaging format. This report helps potential buyers assess whether the property meets their needs.

Clients often print these reports to share with interested buyers during property viewings.

Additionally, we enhance the home report by integrating still images from the Matterport scan directly into the floor plan. This allows buyers to visually connect each part of the virtual tour to the overall layout, providing more context—at no extra cost.

Why do I need a floor plan?

What is a BIM, CAD, SKX, and E57 file?

Cloud hosting ensures your virtual tour is accessible to customers anytime, anywhere. We store your tour on our secure cloud platform, and for a small monthly fee, we also provide ongoing support and maintenance, making sure your virtual tour stays up and running seamlessly.

Can I cancel my subscription any time?

Absolutely. You can cancel your hosting subscription at any time by contacting us. Just keep in mind that once cancelled, your virtual tour will be deactivated and will no longer appear on Google Street View 😔.

Do I have to manually pay for the cloud hosting subscription each month?

Nope! Our cloud hosting subscription is designed to be hassle-free, with automated direct debits to ensure everything runs smoothly. Plus, you'll receive timely reminders, so you can stay organised and focus on what matters most for your business.

Do you offer discounts?

We certainly do! When you choose our annual hosting plan, you'll receive one month free as a special bonus. It's our way of saying thanks for partnering with us!

Is my payment information secure?

What is your refund policy?

We’ve established a clear Refund Policy to ensure transparency and ease. Here are the key points:

Shawscan Appointments: You can receive a refund for your appointment fee if you cancel at least 1 business day before your scheduled appointment. After this, refunds will be at the discretion of Shaws Media Group and the Customer Success Manager handling your case. This applies to any additional services booked.

Cloud Hosting Subscriptions (Monthly): Monthly payments are refundable within 24 hours of the first successful payment. After this, refunds are non-refundable. If you wish to cancel, please contact us before your subscription renews.

Cloud Hosting Subscriptions (Annual): Refunds for annual subscriptions (excluding service fees) are available within 72 hours of payment.
